About Ikona Analytics

We have sat in the chair. At Amazon, Google, Expedia, Nike, and JP Morgan.

Ikona was founded on a simple insight: most HR transformations fail because nobody diagnoses the actual ecosystem before trying to fix it. We start with ground truth: structured interviews, not surveys. And we build from there.

How We See Organizations

The WSM Framework

Every organization is a system. We diagnose it through three lenses: how information moves through the company, how the company perceives itself, how insight becomes action, and whether any of that changes an actual decision.

Wiring illustration

Wiring

How information moves through your organizational systems and out-of-product channels.

Sensors illustration

Sensors

Surveys, listening mechanisms, and the feedback loops that tell you whether anyone is actually reading.

Mechanisms illustration

Mechanisms

Governance, decision rights, and operating models. How insight becomes action, or doesn’t, and whether the review cadence forces a decision or lets the question drift. The operating layer that determines whether your data investments produce returns.

Leadership

Practitioners, Not Consultants

Every Ikona engagement is led by former heads of People Analytics at Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Google, Meta, and Nike. Not junior consultants with a checklist.

Ian O’Keefe, CEO and Founder of Ikona Analytics

Analytics for 1M+ employees · Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Google

Ian O’Keefe

CEO and Founder

Ian led people analytics functions covering more than one million employees at Amazon and JPMorgan Chase. He built analytics capabilities at Google, Nike, Sears, and American Express. When you work with Ian, you get a diagnostic partner who has sat in the seat at five of the world’s most data-intensive enterprises. He maps your entire HR data ecosystem and names the blind spots your team cannot see from the inside, then builds a prioritized roadmap you can actually execute. Ian leads every Ikona engagement with the rigor he brought to Amazon — structured interviews and systems-level thinking, paired with the stubborn habit of turning workforce data into something a CFO can actually act on.

Bennet Voorhees, CTO and Co-Founder of Ikona Analytics

ML products serving millions · Expedia Group, Amazon, Merck

Bennet Voorhees

CTO and Co-Founder

Bennet built ML-powered products serving hundreds of thousands of employees at Amazon, Expedia Group, and Merck. When your CHRO asks “can we actually build this?”, Bennet is the person who turns diagnostic findings into production-ready intelligence. For your organization, that means the diagnostic does not end with a report. It becomes a living, AI-powered knowledge asset that compounds over every engagement.

Richard Rosenow, CPO and Co-Founder of Ikona Analytics

ISD Methodology & Delivery · Meta, Uber, Nike · HR Tech 100

Richard Rosenow

CPO and Co-Founder

Richard started as an HRBP at Citi before working with leading People Analytics functions at GE, Meta, Uber, Nike, and Argo AI, and served as VP of People Analytics Strategy at One Model. He created the Workforce Systems Leader and People Data Supply Chain frameworks that define how leading organizations think about people data infrastructure. Named an HR Tech 100 honoree by HR.com, Richard leads Ikona’s methodology, client delivery, and product vision. He designed the ISD diagnostic methodology and owns how it evolves with every engagement. When a pattern emerges across clients, Richard decides whether it becomes a permanent part of the system. Your diagnostic is shaped by someone who has run these transformations and built the methodology from practitioner experience, not from a textbook.

Every Ikona engagement is backed by a bench of senior People Analytics and HR Technology specialists with hands-on Fortune 100 experience, plus the domain experts we pull in when a problem demands them.

Why Ikona

A different kind of knowledge operations company

We build durable knowledge assets, not slide decks. We productize around the services we deliver and incubate our own technology.

3–4 Senior Practitioners, not thirty generalists

Every engagement is led by founding partners who have held the roles you are trying to transform.

Amazon, Google, JPMorgan, Meta. Not a team of generalists with a checklist. Three people who have sat in your chair, supported by intelligent tooling that makes them as productive as a team ten times the size.

Ground-truth methodology

Interviews, not surveys. Qualitative depth, not checkbox data.

Our diagnostics are built on structured stakeholder interviews that surface the nuance, context, and organizational dynamics no survey or dashboard can capture.

Your knowledge base doesn’t expire

Traditional consulting delivers a PowerPoint. Ikona delivers a structured, evolving knowledge asset.

Your organization owns it. Generate new business cases, roadmaps, and transformation plans months or years after the engagement. The second answer is faster than the first. The tenth is faster than the fifth.

Every engagement builds on every engagement before it

We are not starting from scratch when we start with you.

Patterns from dozens of enterprise diagnostics — across pharma, consumer goods, automotive, financial services — are built into the methodology and the platform. Your engagement benefits from everything we have ever learned.

Vendor-neutral recommendations

We recommend what is right, not what pays us.

Our recommendations are based solely on what is right for your organization. We maintain strategic alliances with leading vendors, but vendor relationships never influence our guidance. Read our published partner principles.
